Crossroads Photography by Karen Waple is a premier portrait studio in south central Kansas. Karen and her staff have just recently entered their 13th year in business. Two years ago to celebrate their 11th year, Karen hired a former client of hers, interior designer Angela Shayler, to transform a vacant building built in the 1800’s into a beautiful modern studio in the heart of downtown Mulvane. They moved into the new space January of 2009 and Angela had the entire lower level of the studio ready for our Open House the beginning of May. She gave Abe Dreiling with "Metal Creations" of Derby, an artist that works with steel, wood and metal, a vision of what she was picturing to possibly be done to the staircase. What he then created was simply a masterpiece. It's beautiful just when driving by and seeing it through the window front.

The new location offers countless creative options. Our upstairs has many handpainted backdrops and a great room with lots of natural light, and our downstairs has our camera room with everything else that you may need to create the perfect photo. We also specialize in out of studio portraits that can personalize your images and make them unique.

Karen brings energy and creativity to her work that is second to none, resulting in all of your images being exclusive to you and your personality! Whether you are wanting maternity images, boudoir, portraits of your baby, children, pets, your high school senior or a family portrait, we hope to provide you with a great experience.

Our digital artists personally retouch every image to make them perfect for you. Karen personally rechecks every order before it is processed. We also offer many print and framing options to make your final product complete.

Karen feels very priviledged to be a part of so many special events in her clients lives and has built many trusting relationships and friendships with families and their children over the years.
